  • Jasper Raft Tours

Join the fun and experience easy rafting / scenic float trip down the Athabasca River, a designated Canadian Heritage River.  A National Park licensed guide will provide commentary on the human and natural history of Jasper while navigating you along the same route used by the “fur traders” over 2 centuries ago.  The specially designed, 7 meter / 25 foot long, oar powered rafts, offer a safe and comfortable ride through several small, easy sets of rapids and calm stretches that any first time rafter will enjoy. Don’t worry the guides do all the rowing; you sit back and enjoy while exploring all the spectacular scenery.  There is always a chance of seeing various wildlife including elk, deer, moose, coyotes, wolves, eagles, ospreys, mountain sheep and bears. Tours will operate rain or shine, and a poncho will be provided when required. This trip is designed for the whole family, toddlers to seniors aged from 2 up to 99 years.
  • Jasper Riding Stables

Using the best of horses and polished saddles we ride the trails of the Pyramid Bench.  Our one hour ride leaves the stables, takes you through our 'old growth forest' and emerges on the Ridge of the Athabasca River.  Views are down the valley, over the river and across Jasper town.  In two hours we continue to ride along the pristine Patricia Lake.  The three hour ride take us higher.  The views include Pyramid Lake.  The downhill on this ride requires a rider that is very comfortable on a horse.  Although it is 'Luck of the Draw', all rides have abundant opportunities to see wild life.  Enjoy the mountains the way our ancestors did… on horseback.  We ride daily from May 15th to Thanksgiving Monday.  Our first rides leave at 9AM.  Our last ride goes out AT 4PM.
